Itinerary

Day 1 - Dec. 13: Departure from U.S., currently planned from Houston, arriving into the Yucatan on the same day. (From other places in the U.S., or internationally, please inquire.) Transfer to your hotel near the ceremonial center of Chichen-Itza.

Day 2 - Dec. 14: Today and tomorrow are for two days of siteseeing of Mayan ancient power places before the main conference speaking events begin on Dec. 16.

Welcome, orientations, and introductions.

Afternoon tour of the highlights of Chichen-Itza. Experience the famous and sacred Mayan city of Chichen-Itza, covering an approximate 60-mile area with impressive ancient temples and buildings. In particular, see the “El Castillo” Pyramid, whose architecture is full of symbolism. Inside the pyramid is a temple even more ancient than the pyramid itself.

Day 3 - Dec. 15: Full day tour to more ancient sacred Mayan sites. Drive to Coba, stopping at Tulum on the way. Tulum is located in a magnificent setting high on bluffs overlooking the sparkling blue turquoise Caribbean Sea. While there, experience the unique symbol of the upside down winged god with bee-like features. Why is this figure upside down and what significance is the resemblance to a bee? This is just one of many mysteries that will be experienced during this spiritual journey.

Experience mystical Coba with it’s tallest pyramid in the Yucatan at over 126 feet.  The pyramids and buildings are situated on the shores of several lakes and the architecture is unique.  Numerous ancient roads led into this huge Mayan city center, one of them over 62 miles long, the longest in the Mayan world. Climbing the 120 stairs to the top of the Nohoc Mul Grand Pyramid at Coba is well worth the effort. From the top, you can see over the jungle canopy for miles, with an unobstructed view of the temple mounds peeking above the trees. (Arrival for those doing main conference only is today.)

Day 4 - Dec. 16: (Welcome, orientation and introduction for main conference only participants.) Main conference and events start today. Meeting and presentations all day with a break at mid-day. Reconvene in the afternoon.

Day 5 - Morning tour of the highlights of Chichen-Itza. (Those who arrived Dec. 13 will have their 2nd visit to see different sites and temples within the gigantic complex of Chichen-Itza.) There is so much to see and experience! Meetings and presentations this afternoon.

Day 6 - Dec. 18: Meetings all day.

Day 7 - Dec. 19: Morning session for round table discussion and sharing, followed by a session with some of the presenters. Siteseeing this afternoon to more Mayan power places, including Ek Balam. Surrounded by jungle, Ek Balam, whose name means “Black Jaguar,” is very impressive with its enormous Acropolis-type pyramid. Restoration has only been going on for a few years and not many tourists visit the site.

Day 8 - Dec. 20: Meeting all day.

Day 9 - Dec. 21: Today is the Winter Solstice!

Power Places Tours has been granted special permission to be inside Chichen-Itza for three hours early in the morning at the exact time of the Solstice, when the site is closed and otherwise off-limits to the public! A special sacred event and ceremony will take place. Afternoon final meeting and gathering.

Day 10 - Dec. 22: Depart for home.

Colin Andrews, co-author of The Complete Idiots Guide to 2012, is an electrical engineer from the U.K. Colin Andrews has been researching the crop circle phenomenon since 1983. Today Colin provides continuity between the past research era and the present. He has the largest continuous data base in the world on the subject and coined the term “crop circle,” now included in the English Webster dictionary. His long view of both the genuine phenomenon and the human-made phenomenon provides unique insight into the subject.

Colin's research expanded into the study of human consciousness. Crop circles offer an exceptional keyhole into the fascinating realm of how our mind interacts with an intelligent and conscious universe. His study on the intelligence behind the crop circles and the interaction between this intelligence and both crop circle researchers and crop circle makers, forms the basis of his current work. Colin has a keen interest in the Mayan calendar.

Colin coined the term crop circle in the 1980s and formed the first team to investigate the mystery in the world. The first twenty years he gathered data and worked with numerous scientists and engineers like himself to discover clues to what was causing them and if a message of some kind was involved, what was that message.

During 1999-2000 he was offered funding by Laurence Rockefeller and he decided this would be best applied to learning as much as possible about the designs being made by people, why they were making them and what if any useful data could be derived from them.

His conclusions rocked the crop circle research fraternity; now some twelve years later it's widely acknowledged that his findings were not only correct but formed a door opener into a new and extraordinary realization, i.e.: An intelligence is aware and interacting not only with certain members of the public, to researchers, but people making some of the circles.

Dr. Synthia Andrews, ND, LMT is co-author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to 2012, and has had a life-long interest in the Maya and Hopi prophecies. She and Colin traveled extensively around the world talking to many indigenous cultures, shamans and indigenous healers about prophecy, healing and end-time predictions.

Dr. Andrews has been in the world of wholisitic health for over 25 years. Jim Berenholtz is a multifaceted artist who has been training and collaborating with native cultures in their living Earth wisdom for nearly 40 years. At the Maya 2012 Gathering Jim will speak on using art, music, dance, and ceremony as ways to make our personal contributions to planetary transformation. He will also guide participants through experiential processes that open them to their own unique creative role in the collective shift.

Jim is the author of the “Teachings of the Feathered Serpent” trilogy which includes “Journey to the Four Directions”, “Eye of the Dragonfly”, and “Shedding Skins - A Snake Odyssey”. In 1987 he was International Coordinator for the Sacred Sites Festival associated with Harmonic Convergence. Since 1989, beginning at the Mayan temples of Palenque, he has been performing transformational snakeskin ceremonies at sacred sites worldwide, and has completed 55 ceremonies thus far. His work with the sacred serpent energy has also manifested through dance performances with live pythons and boa constrictors. As a musician, Jim is co-founder of the musical duo Xochimoki, a leading force for nearly three decades in the revival of the ancient music of the Aztec, Maya, and other Mesoamerican civilizations. As a composer of music for theatre, dance, film, audio recordings and the concert stage, Jim’s specialty is weaving together the classical and contemporary musical styles of the Western World with the indigenous sounds of ancient and native cultures. His choral work “EKEL CHACIL” (Black Rain) is sung entirely in ancient Maya, and was commissioned and performed by the Global Harmony Chorus in 2008. Jim is a frequent performer and lecturer at the de Young Museum of Art in his hometown of San Francisco. D.M. Murdock, also known as "Acharya S," is an independent scholar of comparative religion and mythology. As an undergraduate, Murdock studied Classics, Greek Civilization, at Franklin & Marshall College, in Pennsylvania, USA. She also did post-graduate study with the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, Greece. Murdock has spent the past several decades studying both formally and informally: mythology, religion, history, languages, archaeology, archaeoastronomy and other disciplines relating to the fields of religious history dating back thousands of years. In addition to English, she can read, speak and/or write French, Spanish, German, Italian, ancient and modern Greek, Latin, Portuguese and a smattering of other languages such as Sanskrit, Hebrew, Egyptian, etc. Murdock frequently does research in ancient languages such as Greek, Latin, Hebrew and Sanskrit, as needed for biblical studies and early Christian history.

Murdock/Acharya is the author of several books and many articles on the subjects of comparative religion and mythology, including The Christ Conspiracy, Suns of God, Who Was Jesus?, Christ in Egypt and others. Her work has been published both online and in print in a variety of media. She has also helped create several videos, including a two-hour interview of her speaking about related subjects. Murdock has appeared in a number of documentaries, including "God in the Box," which has been featured at several film festivals. She has also appeared on numerous radio programs, including the Alan Cohen show.

At the gathering in December 2012, D.M. Murdock will be presenting a talk entitled, "2012: A New Beginning." As a specialist in comparative religion and mythology, especially as concerns its nature-worshiping or astrotheological roots, Murdock will discuss the striking parallels between Christian and Mexican religion and mythology, demonstrating a unifying thread that underlies much of human culture. Here is the encouraging and good news for the coming age determined by Mesoamerican astronomy and calendric science: We are one human family whose cultural divisions are largely based on observations of our natural surroundings, rather than actual disparities. Our diverse global cultures emanate largely from the same root, with similar basic religious and mythological archetypes. Thus, instead of loathing our differences, we can celebrate our cultural uniqueness as part of the overall human experience.

Rob Speight has been dowsing for almost 15 years since he first fashioned two metal coat hangers into L rods and walked around his garden. After being amazed at his early discoveries he became an avid reader on the subject and member of the British Society of Dowsers.

Rob focused his dowsing skills on earth energies and ancient sites, a fascination he developed after reading Robert Bauval's 'The Orion Mystery'. Rob was lucky enough to accompany Robert, Graham Hancock, John Anthony West, Robert Temple and John Grigsby on the 'Stars and Signs' Tour to Egypt in 1996 and from then on he was hooked!

After that time Rob ran a very successful website, The Noise Room - Ancient History, Modern Mysteries and New Research, from 1996 - 2006 as well as developing his passion for photographing ancient sites.

As well as working as a professional dowser (amongst other things!), Rob will be releasing his first book, Dowsing Sacred Sites in the summer of 2012.

At the conference, Rob will be speaking on dowsing at sacred sites and offering practical demonstrations on dowsing. He will show how sacred sites harness the energy of the landscape and the earth to create a sense of the spiritual, something that our ancient forefathers were well aware of and physically in tune with. He will give a brief summary on the history of dowsing, some practical hands on dowsing basics, details of what you might expect to find at a sacred site.

Maureen St. Germain is an internationally recognized, highly acclaimed transformational teacher and intuitive. Personally trained by Drunvalo Melchizedek, she is one of the most prolific "Flower of Life" workshop facilitators having taught the MerKaBa and manifestation techniques to more than 10,000 students since 1995. Patricia Price is a healer and registered medium for the Lily Dale Assembly. She is a healer, breathwork practitioner, certified hypnotist and teacher. Thirty years ago she became director and founder of the Trilogy Institute where she teaches Mediumship, Spiritual Healing and Ministerial Training. She offers courses in-person and as home study.

Patricia Price spends the winter months in California where she writes, teaches, does intuitive consultations and healing work. Her work has lead to instructive books, CD's and home study courses. Her latest books are Lily Dale and It's Seven Major Vortexes, and Awareness Dynamics Breathwork.

Hunbatz Men, the well know Mayan Shaman, taught in her hometown of Lily Dale. As a devoted student, she continues to honor the elders and ancestors of the Mayan Tradition. A native to Peru, Patty Ramirez has spent almost 20 years in Corporate America, working in numerous positions in the field of accounting, auditing and human resources. She will share how, as a single mother of two small children, her entire paradigm as well as her heart began to fully open up to Source Love as she shortly started capturing Light Phenomena. She will share techniques on how one can release the fear of being in a job that doesn't serve one's Soul purpose, and how to discover one's true calling and passion by living purely in the heart and connected to one's Source.

John Ventre

John Ventre was born in the Bronx, New York in 1957. He is the PA, DE and WV State Director for the Mutual UFO Network. He is also the author of the novels: "12/21/2012 A Prophecy," and "The Day After 2012." John is the co-inventor of the Thor Wood Splitter and owns the UFO themed Mexican restaurant trademark, "Flying Salsa." In the year 2008, John appeared in the Discovery Channel's series, "UFOs Over Earth," and then in the History Channel's, "UFO Hunters," in 2009. John has appeared in numerous radio shows and is a speaker at various UFO and paranormal conferences such as, "The MUFON Symposium," "UFOs in Art," and "The 2008 PA UFO Wave.
