During your journey in Japan, experience:

  • Kinkakuji, the Golden Pavilion, steeped in history and mystery

  • Zen meditation in temples steeped in sacred traditions

Next, journey by the shinkansen, the streamlined "bullet-train", to the foothills of Mt. Fuji, the soul of Japan. In this lake and forest region surrounding the mountain, along with peaceful warrior gatherings, you'll be able to:

  • Take a sunrise hike up one of Fuji-san magnificent trails
  • Experience the meditative Zen tea ceremony (cha-do or cha no yu), a practice reflecting the samurai ideal of serenity

    Dan Millman is a former world champion athlete, university coach, martial arts instructor, and college professor. His books, including Way of the Peaceful Warrior, Sacred Journey, The Life You Were Born to Live, Wisdom of the Peaceful Warrior, The Laws of Spirit, Everyday Enlightenment, No Ordinary Moments, and The Journeys of Socrates have inspired millions of readers in 29 languages worldwide. The feature film, Peaceful Warrior (starring Nick Nolte), was adapted from Dan's first book based on his college years. Dan's talks, seminars and workshops bridge the generations to influence men and women from all walks of life, including leaders in the fields of health, psychology, education, business, politics, sports, entertainment, and the arts. He and his wife Joy live in northern California. He has three grown daughters and two grandsons.
